I’ve never heard of POTS… but am curious now and will watch your vlogs… seeing you faint like that was scary… fainting in general is something that has never happened to me… ever. came close once. horrible feeling. i’m so glad you are strong and positive about this. as for me, i’m going to educate myself on this, as i’ve never heard of it before. Much love.

@sarahdionna Oh, that’s good :) Thanks for clearing that up for me!

  3. sarahdionna says:

@gf4life he was just playing around, pouncing on shadows.

  4. sarahdionna says:

@TheBahaiGirl He actually does warn me but not in this video because he was distracted. I have another video of him doing it while he was in “working” mode that I posted later on. I think he was maybe a year old in this video so sometimes he would still be really playful wanting to do what he wanted to do but now he is 2 1/2 years old so he is a lot better at paying more attention to me even while not in “working” mode. Last night when I fainted he was in another room but came to me and stayed.

I was just curious… If he’s a service dog, what tasks does he perform? Because 1) he didn’t warn you that you were about to faint… and then 2) he didn’t really react quickly to you falling down… I’m not trying to say that he’s not a service dog in any way, I’m just really curious about what he does as a service to you. I myself use a service dog and know how helpful they can be :)

whats the signals for the dog doing? hes/shes cute :)

  7. sarahdionna says:

@simbofats Sometimes I do get a warning but not always. Yes, it is awesome to have evidence of it!

  8. simbofats says:

I only passed out once from POTS, but get close often. I’m lucky that I get a warning a couple of seconds before, like a beehive buzzing in my brain, which gives me time to hit the floor before it hits me. Great video – it’s nice to actually have evidence of our invisible disease.

Whats this song on the video called? Lol

  10. MORKOS621 says:

@sarahdionna I guess that’s what I mean. He takes care of you.

  11. sarahdionna says:

@MORKOS621 I have never heard of “nurse dog” before. He is my service dog though.

  12. MORKOS621 says:

@LegereBen At least, he didn’t abandon her.

  13. MORKOS621 says:

Whoa. that was fast! By the way, Walburg’s quite a fine looking fellow. Is he a kind of nurse dog/?

  14. sarahdionna says:

@xPyscosocialDarlingx Yeah I faint at all the wrong times too. Lol. I have lots of stories…

  15. xPyscosocialDarlingx says:

Ouch, yeah that happens to me a LOT! But always at the worst times (crossing the street, going up/down the stairs, in class, etc). Dysautonomia takes a lot out of you. Hope your doing well (:

Sometimes I do get hurt but nothing serious. I always have bruises and scrapes from being clumbsy so a few more from falling isn’t a big deal. I have taken midodrine but it didn’t help all that much. I hope you start having better days, alotus9.

  17. alotus9 says:

Don’t you get hurt when you fall? :( I have never fainted, so I don’t know. Everytime I am going to faint I sit on the floor, it’s so embarassing. Do you take a med to help? I heard Midodrine helps. I’m so sad. I have been roombound for 2 years, I lost all my suppose friends, my family treats me like a pet, and all I have is my piano and the memories of the dreams I use to have. And sometimes I can’t even play.

“heather123″, you made me pee in my pants at 0:15!! shouldnt you be monitored all day for safety??

  19. sarahdionna says:

@LegereBen Wow! You are my first troll. Congratulations!

  20. LegereBen says:

0:33 the dog pees on the carpet!!! Haha.

  21. sarahdionna says:

@gervers Hi. I have not been knocked out by a fall or had a concussion that I know of. I have never felt deja vu but I do have some memory loss or fuzziness surrounding my faints. A doctor once told me that I may not be fully conscious between faints that happen so close together and that could explain the haziness.
